BUCKINGHAM ROAD, WILMSLOW, CHESHIRE

 

We were approached to carry out architectural design work for an extension to the front aspect along with internal alterations. Our in house services also allowed for us to provide structural calculations for the client that were required as part of the building regulations application, having earlier gained planning permission on their behalf.

 

SPOTLAND VICTORIAN MILLS, ROCHDALE

 

GDF Partnerships were tasked with creating the masterplan for the redevelopment of a dilapidated mill that boasted key features such as:  92 apartments; low rent mixed retail and office space to ground floor; a public realm courtyard and community projects zone; a 2500ft2 ministore, as well as proposals for sustainable sources of energy from renewable sources.

 

FALCON MILL, BOLTON

 

GDF Partnerships produced a masterplan for the redevelopment of a mill that boasted key features such as:  respite and child play centre for children with learning difficulties and disabilities, which also included an indoor outdoor garden; a restaurant and conference/ banquet centre with catering academy aimed at becoming the number one centre for catering in the North West; a beauty academy with spa; short term retail space for pop up shops and galleries.

 

NORWICH AVENUE, BAMFORD, GREATER MANCHESTER

 

GDF Partnerships were comissioned to carry out the architectural design work for a 2 storey side extension to the 1950s semi detached, along with the complex design of a  feature canopy to create an indoor/ outdoor area for the client to enjoy year round.

 

HEYWOOD ROAD, ROCHDALE

 

GDF Partnerships carried out a full design and build service for a client who wished to carry out full extensive works on a property they bought. The house was changed in side to have three bedrooms instead of two, as well as all round general improvement. Approximately £27,000 was added to the value of the house after all costs. Again building regulations approval was sought by our design team, along with us also providing structural calculations and a full survey.

 

DRIGHLINGTON JUNIOR SCHOOL, LEEDS/ BRADFORD, YORKSHIRE

 

A masterplan was produced for this Grade II listed school for the developer client who wished to convert and renovate the property to create a 5 bedroom home, retail and office units and high class function room facilities. All this had to be achieved whilst retaining the original architectural features of the building

 

BOLTON UNIVERSITY, GREATER MANCHESTER

 

A conceptual scheme was produced for a new reception area and the redevelopment of what is called M block. Facing on to Deane Road, the dated building is in requirement of a new image to rival that of the college and sixth form centre opposite. It was specified that the building should be clad in Kingspan panels, whilst the new reception would be built of glass and steel for a modern and sleek look..

 

GRANGELANDS, MACCLESFIELD, CHESHIRE

 

We carried out the architectural design work for a rear residential extension along with extensive internal alterations to a rural townhouse.

 

CLARE HALL, HALIFAX, WEST YORKSHIRE

 

Clare Hall is a unique award winning development by a discerning client. GDF Partnerships worked in collaboration with local fitted furniture manufacturer Lamont to design and specify 52 kitchens to 52 apartments, in excess of 80 bathrooms and numerous bedrooms. The results were breathtaking, resulting in a satisfied client, and added value to the properties.
